2. What must I bring along on the day of the P1 Orientation?
There is no need to bring any documents, unless you have been informed by the General Office staff to submit specific documents.

If you are seeking a school transfer due to other reasons such as medical conditions, you should approach your child’s current school directly for assistance. Transferring your child to another school is an important decision, as the change in environment can disrupt the quality of their education. We encourage you to work with the school as they are best placed to advise you on your child’s learning needs.

MOE Financial Assistance Scheme (FAS)
1. I would like to find out more about the MOE Financial Assistance Scheme.
2. How do I know whether I qualify for the MOE Financial Assistance Scheme?
To qualify, you must fulfil the following criteria:
• Are Singapore Citizens.
• Attend government or government-aided schools.
• Have a monthly gross household income of $3,000 or less, or a monthly per capita income of $750 or less.

3. What would my child receive if he/she is successful in his application?
Under MOE FAS, your child will receive:
• A full subsidy of standard miscellaneous fees. Singapore Citizens do not need to pay school fees in primary schools.
• Free textbooks and school attire.
• One of the following transport subsidies:
- Covers 65% of school bus fares per year if your child takes the school bus.
- $17 transport credit per month, or up to $204 per year, if your child takes public transport.
• A $3.60 per meal subsidy for school meals, applicable to 5 days per school week.

5. Once approved, how long will it be valid for? Is it an annual application?
MOE Financial Assistance Scheme is valid for 1 calendar year. It will be based on the date of approval till 31 December of the same year. Applicants must apply again for the next calendar year.

3. What is the fee for MOE Kindergarten?
The monthly fee for a 4-hour MOE Kindergarten programme is $160 for Singapore Citizen children and $320 for Singapore Permanent Resident children. Fees are also payable during school holidays, i.e. June and December.
4. What is the fee for Kindergarten Care (KCare)?
The maximum KCare monthly fee is $415. KCare fees are also payable during the June and December holidays. All Singapore Citizen children are eligible for a basic KCare subsidy of $150 per month.
5. How do I put my child on the waitlist for MOE Kindergarten (MK)?
If you are keen to place your child on the waitlist, you can contact your preferred MK directly. The waitlist will be considered on a case-by-case basis, subject to available vacancies. The MK will contact you directly, should a vacancy arise for your child.
